How I work, and why you should work with me
So you are thinking about working with a coach, and you may be thinking about why you should work with me.
Every coaching journey is specific to my client - I work with your objectives and your context, so the programme rolls out differently for each person. However, you may like to know how I typically work:
Step 1: The first thing we will do together is get clear on your coaching objectives. I will want to know what you want to achieve and how you will need to learn, grow and change in order to achieve those objectives. If your company is sending you for coaching, I like to include your manager in this discussion, as that gives an important sense of why your coaching matters to your company.
Step 2: In this step I like to do some assessment. I always use the enneagram personality profile as a starting point as this gives me and you some important insights into what makes you tick and why you see the world the way you do. If your coaching is related to how you show up as a leader, I also like to use a 360 degree evaluation so that we have input on how you are experienced by the people you work with.
Step 3: Your coaching commences with a detailed intake interview in which you and I will explore the lessons you have learned in life, how you learned those lessons, and how these influence how you show up today. We will also discuss the results of your enneagram assessment and your 360 degree feedback. We will then be able to connect all of this information to your original coaching objectives.
Step 4: We will embark on your coaching - I usually work in tranches of 12 sessions - during which we will progress your coaching objectives, periodically reflecting on progress along the way.
Step 5: At the end of the coaching programme we will do a formal review of your progress against your coaching objectives and the value of that progress. Most of my clients are delighted with their progress and we bring the coaching to an end. If there is new work to do, we may embark on a further coaching programme.
Within 4 coaching sessions with me you will already be delighted with your progress, and by the end of the 12 session coaching programme you will have:
If you would like to know your own enneagram profile and have a 1 hour debriefing session with me to learn more about your growth areas and how to develop them, email me at [email protected].
